Short description of the event:
This is a series of parallel meetings for teenagers and their parents on the theme of correct information on the web and combating fake news and online hate speech. The different types of misinformation will be presented to both groups, and the participants’ skills in identifying fake news will be put into play through quizzes created online. A discussion will take place on the topic of online fake news and the role of social networks.
The final meeting will see the participation of both groups in a sort of challenge on the recognition of fake news.
We are addressing parents who want to learn how to navigate the complex world of the web and digital technologies alongside their children, to help them use these tools by conveying education, information and culture, and to give them the opportunity to act as active and responsible citizens.
