Short description of the event:

Starting on March 2, 2021, all high school students studying in the Vysočina Region can take part in a competition called Stories Hidden in Maps. It is organized by the Vysočina Region in cooperation with ARCDATA Prague. The main theme of the competition is the presentation of selected data in the area, because, as the Councilor of the Region for education, youth, sports and information technology Jan Břížďala says: “Geographical presentation of data will make it possible to understand social phenomena or issues easily, in addition, it covers many different areas from history, through social phenomena or traffic to, for example, financial issues. Therefore, with this competition, we would like to motivate all students at secondary schools to become more interested in geographical presentation of data.”
