Short description of the event:

Emil is a unique method of teaching of computer science for younger school age pupils. Emil is the learning software for all common computer and tablet platforms, which enables the students to solve computer problems and develop their computer thinking (e.g. the children try to pick up as many pears as possible in three steps). The course “Informatics with Emil” is intended primarily for the teachers of the lower grades of primary schools (including the teachers with no computer training). The participants will get acquainted with the first workbook intended for children of the 3rd – 4th grade of the primary schools and they will receive it free of charge (before the beginning of the course). The new method of teaching the informatics will be presented in both, the terms of content and the didactics, to let the participants decide whether they will use it in teaching practice and whether to learn more about that. The content of the course will be accompanied with practical examples.
