Short description of the event:

he session will focus on presenting the e-Competence Framework (e-CF) which is a European standard for ICT Professionals’ competences that can be adapted and customised into different contexts. Here are some of its uses:

Support decision-making in the selection and recruitment of ICT professionals;
Provides solid guidelines to develop the qualification, training and assessment of ICT professionals;
Define the actual employability of an ICT professional based on his/her competences and skills;
Increase transparency, mobility and efficiency of ICT professionals by adhering to a European perspective.

During the session, the structure and principals of the e-CF will be explained, and some examples of using it in practice and introduce the eCF Explorer – a tool that allows to browse quickly through the framework and see how its competences can be used in buildig ICT profiles.
