Short description of the event:
Our volunteers will be given lectures about preparing presentations on PC and online. After that they will prepare their presentations about the activities that they have carried out so far. Then, they will be given lectures about organizing online meetings using several platforms. And finally, they will hold their online meetings presenting their preparations.
Information after the event
On the first day, our volunteers were given info lectures and supported with tutorial videos about how to prepare slides and presentations. For this activity canva was used. On the second day the presentations were prepared by two groups having 5 volunteers each. Each volunteer had his/her own part and different presentations. On the third day, the lectures were about the basics of online meetings. This activity was about how to use zoom for the online meetings. On the fourth day each volunteer had some practice to hold a meeting, manage display facilities, sound and video options, etc. On the last day Each group held their own online meetings, handling the zoom online meeting environment successfully. Each volunteer presented his/her own part, taking control of the meeting and the screen.
Result: Nowadays, it is really important to hold online meetings wherever you are. During the COVID19 pandemic, this became a major solution to carry out any kind of collaborative task at a work place or a school. Therefore developing this digital skill is a must and it will be a matter of importance in the future. It was a good opportunity to participate in AllDigitalWeeks for our volunteers to develop such significant digital skills.
