Thanks to the funding from Piano Nazionale Scuola Digitale – Italian Ministry of Education, a digital campus of 3 days will take place in a the village of Montone in the hills of Upper Umbria, which will become a digital village for the occasion. 120 students from all over Italy and abroad, will work closely together with digital and ICT professionals to challenge themselves agianst 6 main topics:
- APP BUILDER: Today, the ability to generate Apps with preconfigured systems at advantageous prices represents the new economic frontier of the mobile device market.
- GIS, WE MAP WITH GOOGLE EARTH: The Geographic Information system processes information derived from geographic data and allows to export them and transform them into other types of files, useful for reading through navigators and apps.
- MAPPING LAB: is a projection technique used to turn objects, often irregularly shaped, into display surfaces for video projection. Through the discipline of storytelling, projection mapping can be seen as a key to territorial and cultural development and enhancement.
- LAB: Video production and editing technologies are increasingly advanced, and in the world of social networks they are even pushed as a primary form of communication.
- LAB: superimpose multimedia information on what you are watching on any display? Yes, with Augmented Reality! The application horizons of these digital technologies are many and today they help companies in many areas.
- ROBOTIK: Interdisciplinary of robotics is dictated by the need to involve multiple sectoral knowledge within the process of making a robot. Engineering, computer programming, psychology, automation, mechanics and biology: these are just some of the aspects that are interconnected during its design.
After an initial launch event on Monday the 4th, the 12 teams will work to succeed in ideating and designing a busines idea to be realised within the 6 specific challenges. On the 6th of April each team will present the final result of the work, through a 5 minutes pitch in front of a jury who will assess the works and award the winners of the competition. Jury members are professionals in Digital Literacy, ICT and programming skills, Digital learning and academic pathways.
