The Community Telecentre Networks Association, as promoter of the Telecentre-Europe led campaign Get Online Week 2012 in Spain in collaboration with Esplai Foundation and Dédalo Foundation, organised workshops in all the telecentres within the national network to improve the employability of telecentre users, through the usage of the “KC4all” (Key Competences for All) Toolkit.
Workshops were conducted following the methodology developed under the “KC4all” (Key Competences For All) European project on continuing training. This project offers a set of tools that are available at telecentres, and whose purpose is to help jobseekers improve their employment prospects through an alternative ICT-based, user- focused approach oriented to solve difficulties on a personal basis.

The first stage, which started on 21st March, comprised a video streaming-based training to the Telecentre Agents on the “KC4ALL Toolkit”. They were provided with online tools and methodology to assess ICT capacities and competences through the “ICT Barometer for Employability”. The training was delivered on the association’s website on www.comunidaddetelecentros.net as well as on www.fundaciondedalo.org and www.guadalinfo.es relying on the Twitter hashtag #GOW_ES to solve doubts.
Upon completion of the training, during the second stage facilitators delivered courses, from 26th to 30th of March, on improving employability to end users of telecentres, providing guidance on the development of ICT use abilities, as well as on the acquisition of attitudes, sense of initiative and interpersonal and social skills. During the workshops in groups, users are given the opportunity to improve these competences and to test them in a friendly environment.
The Activities of the Get online Week in Spain concluded the 30th of March with a conference on Elderly People and Technologies, within the scope of the European Year for Active Ageing (2012), which was broadcasted by streaming media from www.fundaciondedalo.org and www.comunidaddetelecentros.net
