Short description of the event:
CinemaScuola LAB is a project designed by Ciuffelli-Einaudi Institute, a high school in the small town of Todi in Umbria, Italy. The project aims to promote Global Citizenship through the use of digital storytelling and augmented reality.
In the first place, the project will train teachers on the theme and on the methodologies necessary for an efficient set-up and implementation of an impactful laboratory.
The project is designed as a cinema and audiovisual laboratory, focusing on both tech and social aspects.
The students, and the teachers who will guide them in this course, will have the chance to acquire technical competences and a broader knowledge of the digital audiovisual language. They will deepen their ability to use tech devices and experiment multimedia languages in the cultural and creative field.
The laboratory will provide a direct experience of last generation technologies, immersive and interactive techniques to unable significant processes of participative connection which represent the future of the audiovisual communication.
On the other hand, the project will also work on the integration and understanding of the social reality through creativity and technology, with the objective of stimulating students in the development of critical thinking on different aspects of the social and sustainable development. With this aim, an open dialogue will start from the analysis of the 17 objectives of the UN Agenda 2030. Each project work will be developed based on one of the objectives producing a series of audio-video products with the use of digital storytelling, augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR).
The documentaries and docu-fiction mini-series will be designed to be disseminated on the web and on social media. AR and RM animations will be produced to provide involvement and a 360° degrees immersion in specific environments and situations linked to different fields of education. The integration of different fields of education will take place in semi-virtual spaces which can be visited through application.
Partners of Ciuffelli-Einaudi Institute in this project are: ALL DIGITAL, a pan-european association located in Bruxelles and designer of the proposed mothodology; EGInA, an Italian trainig and consulting agency for agenzia di formazione e consulenza which works in EU grants projects; Stati Generali dell’Innovazione (SGI) – an Italian association which promotes social innovation at the National Level.
