Short description of the event:
Are we aware of the importance and power of dis-misinformation? This 2-hour awareness-raising activity on media literacy addressed the importance of MIL – media and information literacy – and the impact of dis-misinformation in today’s society. This action developed specific digital media literacy skills to solve the risks associated with the manipulation of information.
Participants have been able to learn about different examples of misinformation and disinformation, understanding the importance of digital skills such as browsing, searching and filtering data on the Internet. We can also highlight the conversations generated around this topic and the interest in using specific tools such as www.infopirina.org or the fact-checking website www.maldita.es
