MIL CLICKS is exposing citizens in the targeted countries to MIL competencies in their normal day-to-day use of social media and the Internet to raise awareness about the importance of media and information literacy and its connection to free, independent and pluralistic media as well as good governance to various target groups.

The European Media Literacy Week is a new initiative by the European Commission to underline the societal importance of media literacy and promote media literacy initiatives and projects across the Europe. From 18 to 22 March 2019, various events around the topic of media literacy will take place.
Workshop for 30 high-school students (15 -18y) – members of journalistic courses with short intros by EU & Media Literacy in SRB – Svetlana Djukić (EUD), SRB & Media Literacy – Maja Zarić (Ministry of Culture and Information), About Programme MLADI (an EU funded project) – Ivana Jelača (Media Diversity Institute) & UNESCO MIL Clicks – Media & Digital Literacy – Miomir Rajčević (Media Education Centre). A high level of media literacy is a key factor to enable citizens to make informed decisions in the digital age. In this light, media literacy is a pre-requisite for a vibrant, modern democracy and an important topic in view of the upcoming European elections in May 2019.
