Digidel 2013 is a national campaign to rise digital inclusion in Sweden. Many partners are participating in activities aimed at reaching the objective of getting the 500.000 offline Swedes online by the end of 2013. Partners are offering help, education and inspiration.
Everybody can participate in the endeavours – individuals, NGO’s, authorities and companies. Libraries and adult education organisations cooperate effectively to make more people ‘go digital’. On www.digidel.se you can join the campaign as a partner or as an individual champion.
Get Online Week is a fantastic opportunity to raise the question about digital participation, both nationally and globally. During the campaign week of Get Online Week 2011 we brought together nine partners and Digidel 2013 received lots of media, especially locally, and was also acclaimed by TV.
Public education and libraries offered a wide range of Internet-related courses, workshops and lectures. For example people could try e-readers, surf boards or join a “dare to surf course.” People could also take part in lectures on software applications, “apps” and digital music creation.
