2017: Promoting and supporting digitalization of Small and Medium size Enterprises in Luxembourg

In 2017, GOW was organised for the first time in Luxembourg by our new National Partner – the House of Training.

The House of Training is the new player in the continuing vocation education market of Luxembourg. It was officially created only in October 2015 to bring together under one roof the activities of the respective training institutes of the Chamber of Commerce (LSC) and the ABBL (IFBL).  The House of Training offers up to 650 course modules in 18 different training fields, including, a.o. Informatics and Digital  Banking & Fintech Innovation.

The House of Training actively encourages digital skills in Luxembourg and assists LIDIT in the creation of the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs. It also acts as a partner in the Cre@tivity skills Competition, which aims at promoting creativity based on technology of pupils and students from Cycle 2 (EF) to the last years of secondary school (ES).

As this was the first time for the Get Online Week in Luxembourg, the House of Training  focused on promotional and public awareness activities through their own and the partners’ websites and social media channels.

The main training event was a workshop Digital skills for companies. The House of Training and SECURITYMADEIN.LU jointly organised this  information session dealing with the digitalisation in the business world. It will address topics such as online communication, e-commerce, cyber security, data protection, electronic archiving, office automation, etc.
