GOW2012 partner for Spain: Community Telecentre Networks Association

Already a partner for GOW2011, Community Telecentre Networks Association is again the Spanish national partner for Get Online Week 2012.

In partnership with Esplai Foundation and Dedalo Foundation for the Information Society, the association will involve about 3.000 telecentres in NGO’s, libraries and state or municipal organizations. Planned activities are conferences, hands-on trainings & demonstrations and workshops & introductions to the internet. They will also organize seminars on the use of internet for young people and workshops in telecenters for the unemployed and for entrepreneurs. Moreover, through videostreaming on the association’s website, there will be held a lecture about social innovation projects on the internet and emerging professions.

During Get Online Week, the association will promote the activities through its web activity and among its 14 associated telecentre networks. Esplai Foundation will put the collateral marketing products of the campaign on all their websites (www.esplai.org, www.conectajoven.net, www.redconecta.net, and www.voluntariado.org) and will ask all their local partners to spread the campaign. The spanish community site of Telecentre.org will also be used for promotion of the spanish Get Online Week.

National press releases will be sent to all regional media for the promotion of the activities. They will give a graphical overview of all activities in all the Spanish telecentre networks, which will create a story that will have an impact on the activity of social networks.

They expect to reach about 9.000 people during the campaign’s week.
