Already a partner for GOW2011, Open the Windows (OtW) is again the Macedonian national partner for Get Online Week 2012.
The organization will involve 1 telecentre. Planned activities are workshops on the introduction to the benefits of using the computer and internet.
During GOW 2012, NGOs that work with persons with disabilities will visit OtW’s Centre for Assistive technology. OtW will present assistive technology and beneficiaries will introduce them to the work in the centre and together they will try to sign in for the GOW counter. Representatives from OtW will visit one of the special schools in the country together with several beneficiaries, who will present some of the activities they made on the computer. OtW will also present the benefits of using the computer to NGO-s for older people.
The activities of OtW within GOW will be supported by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration.
Before the start of Get Online Week, OtW will inform all their partners and associates about the campaign, and they will promote the campaign through a post on their web page, and by sending information to the local and national media. Representatives from OtW will also be guests on local and national TV. They expect to reach at least 500 people during the campaign’s week.
